This year, we marked a milestone that few businesses truly reach—30 years of Primerite.
From a small team founded in 1996 by Mr. CS Wong and Mr. Bobby Yim, to becoming the sole distributor of Videojet in Malaysia and a market leader in the marking and coding industry, the journey has been anything but ordinary. And while growth, expansion, and milestones define our business on paper, what truly defines Primerite is the people behind it.
To celebrate this journey, we gathered in Bora Bora for a special one-night anniversary celebration—set against one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the world, but grounded in something far more meaningful.
The highlight of the evening was our gala dinner.
It was a night of recognition, reflection, and pride. We honored the individuals who have grown with the company—long-serving team members, emerging talents, and leaders who continue to shape our direction. Awards such as the Leadership Award, Rising Star, Outstanding Achievement, and Smile Ambassador weren’t just titles—they were stories of commitment, resilience, and contribution.
What made the night truly unforgettable, however, was the founder’s speech.
Listening to how Primerite was built from the ground up—through challenges, sacrifices, and persistence over three decades—was a powerful reminder of what it takes to sustain a business, not just start one. More importantly, it was a moment of deep appreciation for the people who stood alongside that journey. There was a shared sense of pride in the room—knowing that every individual played a part in what Primerite is today.
As the night unfolded, the formality gave way to celebration. Colleagues took the stage, voices filled the air, and laughter carried through the evening. We danced, we sang, and for a moment, titles and roles didn’t matter—only the shared experience did.
Then came one of the most memorable moments of all.
Fireworks lit up the sky, accompanied by a fire show by the beach—an experience prepared specially for us. It was more than just a spectacle; it felt symbolic. A celebration not only of how far we’ve come, but of the energy, passion, and momentum that will carry us forward.
As a second-generation leader, this milestone holds a deeply personal meaning. To witness what started as a small partnership grow into a respected industry leader is both humbling and inspiring. But more importantly, it reinforces a responsibility—to continue building on this legacy with the same dedication, integrity, and vision.
